“Escape to Villa” was designed while Clarissa “escaped” the pandemic while living in one of the most beautiful hidden gems located in the exotic Colombia, Villa de Leyva.
Villa de Leyva is one of the few towns in Colombia to have preserved much of its original colonial style and architecture: the streets and large central plaza are still paved with cobblestones, and many buildings date from the sixteenth century.
The color palette is inspired by the sandy shades of the dessert terrain contrasting with the green pasture of the wonderful views of the surrounding Andes Mountains. All this, while the designer stumbled upon fossils and rocks during her long walks on the sandy trails that are characteristic of this rural region.
